Location: Remote with occasional travel
Commitment: Full time (flexible working options considered)
Role Overview:
The Business Development and Partnership Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, cultivating strategic relationships, and unlocking new business opportunities.
The Marketing Centre has experienced significant growth and is now the UK’s largest and most experienced team of marketing leaders, available on a part-time/fractional basis. With 80+ proven CMOs, we have supported over 1400 UK small and mid-market businesses.
To fuel our next growth phase, we are seeking a seasoned Business Development and Partnership Director. This role demands leadership, team management skills, and a creative, curious mindset. Reporting to the Managing Director, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading teams, managing budgets, and forging strategic partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifying New Business Opportunities:
- Proactively seek new growth and expansion opportunities.
Developing and Implementing Partnership Channels:
- Pursue new partnership opportunities aligned with company goals.
- Identify potential partners to enhance sales channels.
- Develop relationships, negotiate terms, and create revenue-driving partnerships.
Managing Existing Partnerships:
- Maintain and strengthen current partnerships.
- Coordinate joint sales efforts to maximise revenue streams.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue targets.
- Set performance goals and evaluate team performance.
Customer Experience and Retention:
- Develop strategies to enhance customer experience and ensure high retention rates.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the Regional Directors (sales team) to address and resolve client issues promptly.
Mentoring and Supporting the Sales Team:
- Coach and mentor the team of Regional Directors (sales team), fostering a collaborative environment.
- With a focus on prospecting, closing deals, and maintaining client relationships.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Adapt to the specific needs and priorities of the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, partnerships, and sales.
- Strong negotiation skills, relationship-building abilities, and sales acumen.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
